Description: 

The Township of Scugog is seeking bids from qualified contractors for suction dredging and creation of a wetland in Lake Scugog.

The Lake Scugog Enhancement Project is an environmental and recreational improvement project for Port Perry Bay. The main components include: an engineered berm with a trail and pedestrian bridge; a prescribed are for suction dredging; dewatering and offsite disposal of some dredged material; and a constructed wetland using the dredged material with various habitat features. This contract pertains to the section dredging; dewatering and offsite disposal of some dredged material; and building of a constructed wetland using the remaining dredged material. Associated plantings and seeding of the wetland are Provisional.
The berm is to be constructed in Phase 3. Phase 4 to follow completion of Phase 3.
The Township will conduct a pre-dredge removal of aquatic vegetation prior to commencement of the project.
