The Township of Scugog is seeking the professional services of a consulting firm that specializes in Building Condition Assessments (BCAs) to assist the Township in understanding the physical condition and life expectancy of the Blackstock Recreation Complex (BRC). The project will assist in decisions about what works to undertake to prolong the life of the facility and determine based on a cost benefit analysis, whether the arena portion of the BRC may need to be closed in the near future. The BRC is located at 3440 Church Street in hamlet of Blackstock within the Township of Scugog. The building is a single storey structure with partial basements. The building consists of a banquet hall, small single pad arena, dressing rooms, nursery, kitchens, mechanical spaces, a staff office, washrooms and storage areas. The gross floor area of the building is approximately 540 m2 (5,813 square feet). |
